ALGIERS – Freshly appointed Prime Minister Noureddine Bedoui said Tuesday in Algiers that "time and trust are needed for the achievement of the aspirations expressed by the Algerian people over the past weeks."
"Algeria is living through particular period of its history and the Algerians are waiting for the fulfillment of their aspirations, expressed these past days and weeks," Bedoui told the press following the hand-over ceremony with predecessor Ahmed Ouyahia, at the Government Palace.
"Time and trust are needed for the achievement of the aspirations expressed by all the categories of the Algerian people, notably youth," he added.
The current situation requires to "rally around these aspirations, which are included in a roadmap and deep reforms which will witness the new Algeria," said the Premier.
"During my meeting with the President, I committed to seriously and devotedly work to accompany these reforms and execute them on the ground," he added.
"I pledge to the Algerian people to be attentive to them, to serve them and be close to them, especially to answer the calls we have heard in recent weeks."
"The Algerian people are a force of proposal, I will make sure with the members of the government who will accompany me in this hard mission to materialize all its proposals on the ground", he concluded.
