ALGIERS- President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika, at a Council of Ministers meeting on Wednesday, called for improving human development of the Algerian people, "especially as there is a population growth of more than one million a year."
"Algeria should further mobilize today to maintain and improve the level of human development, mainly as there is a population growth of more than one million a year, and Algeria has the required resources to meet the challenge," President Bouteflika said.
Human development in Algeria, according to the finance bill 2019, is supported with a budget of DZD625 billion.
To meet this goal, according to the head of State, it is essential to "deepen the reforms underway in all fields," to ensure a "greater, more transparent, more effective and fairer social justice."
To be successful, such reforms should also ensure a "public service with less bureaucratic obstacles," president Bouteflika stressed.
He added that we have to "promote a more effective decentralization," dialogue, and public authorities must listen to the concerns of citizens and find the appropriate solutions.
