ALGIERS- Algeria will organize a cultural week in South Africa in the "coming months," announced Minister of Culture, Azzedine Mihoubi, following his meeting with South African Deputy Minister of Arts and Culture, Rejoice Mabudafhasi, as quoted by Culture Ministry communiqué on Wednesday.
The communiqué who has not given details about when the Algerian cultural week would be held in South Africa said that Azzedine Mihoubi proposed that this country be the 22nd International Book Fair of Algiers' guest of honour.
The Minister of Culture's meeting with the South African Deputy Minister of Arts and Culture was part of South Africa's cultural week in Algeria and was an opportunity to examine the bilateral relations, dubbed "excellent."
The two ministers reiterated the need to consolidate cultural relations between the two countries and raise them to the level of the political and economic relations.
South Africa's cultural week in Algeria continues until March 4 in Algiers, Boumerdes, Bouira and Tipaza.
